Cairo - Mubasher: The Commercial International Bank of Egypt has upgraded the credit limits for clients holding accounts in both Egyptian pounds and foreign currency.
On Sunday, 20 November, the Commercial International Bank released a press release explaining the new limits that are now in effect.
The new credit card limits in EGP have set cash withdrawal for white card members at EGP 750 and purchasing for EGP 50,000. This ranges depending on the type of card with platinum cardholders having a limit of EGP 1,750 cash withdrawal and purchasing of EGP 150,000.
In respect to foreign currency accounts abroad for those holding a classic card, they can withdraw $2,000 and purchase up to $10,000. While titanium cardholders can withdraw $3,000 and purchase up to $20,000, which leaves platinum members with a withdraw limit of $5,000 and purchasing up to $30,000.
Meanwhile, CIB has suspended cash withdrawal abroad in respect to debit cards but can purchase EGP 800 with the classic card, EGP 2,400 for titanium, and EGP 4,800 for platinum holders.
As for pre-paid credit cards, CIB stated that purchase and cash withdrawal limits for ISIC and CIB Travel Choice cards is EGP 500.
